Two Buffy Characters that Get a Lot of Dislike, But I Like

  1. Dawn Summers:  She is Buffy's sister, who is introduced in season 5 and she turns out to be the "key" to open up into a demon dimension.  I know Dawn is seen as "annoying" and "whiny", but she is, to quote Spike, a hormonal time bomb that a demon God wants to bleed to death to open up the door to her home dimension.   She is also the younger sister to the slayer, seen as just a kid that is seen as someone they need to baby-sit, and is desperate to prove herself.  Next to Willow, she's the character I can relate the most too.  I have an older sister just like Dawn and can relate to wanting to be taken seriously.
  2. Riley Finn: He is Buffy's boyfriend in season 4 and half-way through 5.  Riley gets a lot of hate, especially after his actions in season 5.  I agree it was a dumb choice, but cannot help his insecurities or at least he won't get over it overnight.  I feel like it was partly Buffy's fault too, the problems they had.  Riley was so great to her in season 4!  He defended her honor after Parker talked so crassly about her.  She was sweet and willing to try, even though eventually he couldn't understand her independence.  He's an old fashioned guy and nothing is wrong with that he just wasn't for Buffy.  I have a soft for this one.

Here is my copy of the first two books in Throne of Glass; Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight.  I hope to get the third one, Heir of Fire for Christmas.  I'm loving the series so far.  Team Chaol!!!  But I like Dorian too, just not as Celaena's lover, but her good friend. I got both of these from BooksaMillion. Add caption I got this one at Barnes & Noble, but I will wait to finish it before I buy or ask for Court of Mist and Fury.  I'm hoping by then it will be in paperback, which I prefer since I take books with me wherever I go.

Top 5 Characters I Want to be Best Friends I decided for my Freebie to choose from one of the topic suggestions.   I don’t know if any of these characters would want to be friends with me Lol, but I like them and would love to be friends with them. 1.     Sansa Stark from The Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin.   I admit, at first, I didn’t like Sansa didn’t appreciate how she treated Arya, but as the story goes on I have come feel sorry for her and fall for her character.   She goes through so much hell and survives so much trauma, and she needs a friend she can trust.   She also needs a friend who genuinely wants to be that, a friend, and she’s a sweet person, despite her attitude in the beginning. 2.     I would just love to be part of this friend group: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.   All these girls are really cool and would be fun to hang out with. 3.     Alice Cullen from Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.   She’s

Top 5 Polarizing Books

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.  A lot of people in my generation can't stand this book, because they have realized how flawed this story is, and I get the dislike, I do.  As we get older we begin to see how bad a lot of YA like this can be, but I have a soft spot for this series.  This was the second series that I got into hardcore, the first series being Harry Potter, and I was one of those people who went through the vampire phase.  This was also the second series I got into that my mom liked too, and I am always trying to find ones that both me and my mom can enjoy. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas.  I know a lot of people don't like this one, especially since the second one came out, and I have not read the second one so my opinion might change.  I loved the this book.  If it's a Beauty and the Beast retelling I'm going to be interested.  This retelling was done really well in my opinion.  I'll probably get mad at Tamlin like everybody else as a I r
