Lunar Chronicles Adaptation

I think The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer would make a great television series for a channel like Freeform or SyFy channel.  In case you don't know, its a four book series, with a prequel called Fairest, that's a futuristic retelling of the fairytales: Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White.  There were two more world wars that lead to the world be divided into four different governments for all the Asian countries, European ones, United Kingdom,  and America, while some live on the moon.  The ones that live on moon have special powers where they can mind control, but not all Lunars can do it.  Those are called Shells.
The first book centers around Cinder a gifted mechanic living with her step family.  Prince Kai asks her secretly to fix his cyborg, because it has information about Luna's lost princess Selena, and Kai doesn't want to have to marry Luna's current tyrannical Queen Levenna.  Kai and Cinder also both want to stop a disease that's spreading all over Earth, a disease that kills Cinder's step sister, who actually cared about Cinder, and Kai's father the Emperor.  Cinder also has a secret, she's half cyborg and is desperate to keep that hidden from Kai.
The next book is about Scarlet.  Scarlet's grandmother has gone missing and she's desperate to find her.  The mysterious and sexy Wolf offers to  help Scarlet find her grandmother, but Wolf is not called "Wolf" for nothing.  He is a Lunar that was experimented on and turned into a half wolf, half human like creature.  Along there journey Wolf and Scarlet encounter his pack and get mixed up in the same war that Cinder and Kai are mixed in.  Scarlet learns some secrets about her grandparents that are rather surprising and emotional for Scarlet.
Cress is the third book following the  story of Crescent Moon a Shell Lunar, who doesn't have the Lunar "gift", but cannot be controlled by it.  She is imprisoned on an orbiting satellite and is a tech genius, so Levenna uses Cress to spy on Earth and protect Luna ships from being detected.  Realizing she could be of great help, Cinder and her new friends go on a mission to rescue Cress, but naturally things go wrong, you wouldn't have a plot if they didn't.  The new friends get separated.  Scarlet is captured; Cinder, Wolf, and Cinder's friend Iko are on there space ship; while their new friend Capt. Carswell Thorne and Cress crash land on Earth somewhere in Africa.  Cress has had this massive crush on Thorne after learning all about him through her research, but Thorne tries to get her to realize he's not that great of a guy.  While at a local inn, Thorne is distracted, Cress is kidnapped and taken to Dr. Erkling, a Lunar Doctor who believes something about Shells being the cure for the disease that's killing Earthlings.  Erkling realizes that Cress is his long lost daughter, whom he was forced to give up because she was a Shell, but Cress doesn't remember him.  Lucky for her, Thorne is determined to rescue her from Dr. Erkling.
Winter is the story of Princess Winter, the cousin to Selena and stepdaughter to Levenna.  Winter choose not to use her gift, but not using her Lunar gift makes her crazy.  She is in love with her childhood friend and Lunar guard Jacin, but he knows he can't be with her, because of class differences.  Levenna fearing she will lose her power sends Jacin to kill Winter, but he can't bring himself to do it., so Winter is forced to run and hide out somewhere on Luna.  Winter also tries to become friends with Scarlet, who is now a prisoner on Luna, and just thinks Winter is crazy and that she can't trust the princess.
I tried to explain the series without giving too much of plot away, but I don't know how well I did.  I think it would be a great television series with all the interwoven plots that can be dragged out into 13 or 22 episodes, devoting each season or episode to focusing on each girl.  It would be a very character driven.  Marissa Meyer has the prequel Fairest about Levenna's backstory, and there will be a graphic novel for Cinder's companion Iko giving a screenwriter more to work with.  That could help drag it having episodes about backstories or with flashbacks.  It would be so cool to actually seeing the places Luna, where Scarlet lives, and where Kai and Cinder live.  I'm curious who they would cast, but I would have to think about who I would cast.  I don't think a movie, unless it was a mini series, would be able to cover everything.
