Top Five Authors I want to Read More from

Top 5 Authors I Would Like to Read More From 1.      Marissa Meyer, the author of The Lunar Chronicles.   I have only read The Lunar Chronicles and I really enjoyed her writing style, and would love to read what she has published that’s from The Lunar Chronicles.   At the moment, she only has Heartless out, but it’s hardcover only right now.   Waiting on paperback or I’ll ask for the book as a gift. 2.      Stephen King, has a lot of books out since he’s been writing for years, and even has a “How to” manual out.   I have only read a few of his books: IT, Carrie, Salam’s Lot, and the first three books from the Dark Tower series.   He is the king of horror and the supernatural, pun intended, and I want to read the rest of his books.   Now, I know there are some I won’t be interested in, like the cell, because, in the case, I’m not into the subject at hand. 3.      Kelly Link.   My sister introduced me to this author when she asked me if I would be interested, because they sounded

Tome Topple Update

I have started Clash of Kings and The Three Musketeers, but only a small portion of those two are read by me. I believe I'm as far as chapter 5 of Three Musketeers, and with Clash of Kings I'm on page 107. I'm mostly focused on The Name of the Wind and The Bone Clocks.  The Bone Clocks is a library book, so I have to get as much as I can read, then I have to re-borrow it.  As for The Name of the Wind, that was something I started to read a month ago, so no surprise how far I've gotten on that one.  I'm on chapter sixty-two, page 464.

Tome Topple

# TomeTopple  started at 11:59 last night and continues until April 20th at 11:59. In case you're interested, this is a readathon from a Goodreads group where for two weeks you read nothing but big books, 500 or more pages. You don't have to finish them, but it's a chance to get started on the bigger books you have been putting off. I'm currently reading "Name of the Wind", "The Bone Clocks", "Clash of Kings", and "The Three Musketeers". I'm trying to see which one I can get into more, because I couldn't decide.

Top 5 Wednesday: Fantasy and Science Fiction You Want to Read ASAP

Top 5 Fantasy and Science Fiction Books I Want to Read ASAP I should take out the word science fiction, because all of these will be fantasy, but this is a list of 5 of books from those genre’s you want to read immediately.   Top 5 Wednesday was originally created by Ginger Reads Lainey and is now hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes.   Here is the Goodreads group if you want to participate: 1.    Heartless by Marissa Meyer.   I really loved her Lunar Chronicles series and I love retellings, especially of stories like Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz.   I have been wanting to get this book for a long time, but since it’s hardback and I don’t have the money I’m waiting to get it.   I also have a soft spot for retellings where they are origin stories are about villains, though I do get annoyed when it’s used as a way to excuse the villain’s actions. * Cough *Regina Mills*Cough*. 2.    A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas.   I’m saving this for next month, my birthday mont

Review of Legend

Review of Legend Legend is a typical Dystopian that revolves around a complete government controlled world, bye bye democracy.   Floods destroyed the United States and the military took over, but not everyone agreed with how they did things.   They U.S. separated into the “Republic”, “The Patriots”, and “The Colonies”.   The Republic is the West Coast and our story takes place in Los Angeles California. June is the perfect soldier with a reckless streak, who got a perfect score on the test that dictates her place in society. Daniel aka Day failed the test and is the Republic’s most wanted criminal, and is now wanted for killing June’s brother.   Wanting her revenge, June agrees to track down Day, and bring him in to be arrested.   Day just wants to rescue his brother Eden, who was taken away by the government because he has the plague.   June goes undercover pretending to be one of the people living on streets, and happens to be rescued by Day and his friend Tess when she gets cau
