Top Five Future Classics

Sorry so late, but here's my top 5 Future classics.  Here's the Goodreads group link: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday Top 5 Future Classics 1.      The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.   I think this will be considered a classic one day because it takes a look at what is popular in our society.   It’s a commentary on reality television and how we love to watch it, we’re desensitized by violence. 2.      A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin is an epic fantasy full of adventure, political intrigue, and is the closes to how Medieval society really was.   Like Tolkien, Martin creates a world full of politics, beliefs, cultures, races, and languages.   Also despite the length this much more accessible than Lord of the Rings.   The first book a “Game of Thrones” was published in 1996 and is still popular today.   There is even a television showed based on books 3.      Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.   This story got a lot kids to r

Top Five Angsty Romances

ToP 7 Angsty Couple I’m going to be dipping into my screen library for my favorite angsty couples.   Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey from Ginger Reads Lainey, and is now hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes.   I know these are supposed to be mostly focused on books, but I have come to discover I remember screen couples better honestly.   There are two other bonus couples I wanted to include. I am throwing in some book couples too. Goodreads:   https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday 1.    Spike and Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series Unfortunately, this angsty relationship is really screwed up one, and I’m not denying that.   Buffy and Spike met when he arrived in Sunnydale with the intent for Buffy to be the next slayer he kills.   From then on they have an antagonistic relationship, but eventually he becomes dangerously obsessive.   With that being said, why I ship them is because my first experience with them was in season 7 when

ToP 5: Fantasy and Science Fiction Novels

Top 5 Favorite Fantasy and Science Fiction       These books are in no particular order.  Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey from Ginger Reads Lainey and is currently hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes.   To be honest, these might change, but these are my current favorites. Here is the link to the Goodreads group: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/18498429-march-2017-topics 1.      Timeline by Michael Crichton.   Michael Crichton is the same author who wrote Jurassic Park and he is also my dad’s favorite science fiction author so I thought I would check out the author’s books myself.   I’m not huge fan of reading science fiction, because I would rather watch it than read it, but I do enjoy time travel stories.   The characters were great too that have a passion for history and get to experience it. A group of scientists and  archeologists must use a newly built time machine to rescue a friend who is trapped in medieval  Europe  during the war between England and France.
