Top Five Wednesday: Villains

T5W: Favorite Villain Queen Levana from The Lunar Chronicles.  She is so manipulative and deliciously evil.   She is also insane.  My favorite kinds of villains are unstable in the mind. Pennywise from "IT"  He's a clown that represents people's fears, enough said.  What is more scary than something that isn't tangible and can read your mind?  That is why he is on this list because he is absolutely terrifying. Cersei Lannister from Song of Ice and Fire.  Cersei is just like Levana, and I bet Cersei would love to have Levana's power to mess with people's minds.   Smaug from  The Hobbit.  He's so sly and charming.  Also I love dragons. Jack Randall from Outlander.  He's so disgusting, perverted, and could be a real person making him even more scary.  This makes him the perfect villain.

Creating my Room: New Desk

This was an old vanity we got from my grandmother that my dad fixed up so I could use it as a desk.  I had expressed wanting a desk that looked old fashioned, so he also made it look distilled for me and turned some pipes into desk legs.

Top 5 Wednesday: Rereads

I'm going to go ahead and share my top five Wednesday. This Wednesday's topic is top five books I want to reread.  This is actually a pretty easy one for me, because one of my biggest readers problem is buying more books than I can reread.  Here's my list and these are in no particular order. #T5W Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.  This is one of my favorite romances and I love the character of Scarlet, even if she can be selfish bitch. She's such a complex character that grows so much in the story. Plus, I have a soft spot for historical romances. It by Stephen King.  I was afraid of clowns long before I read this book, but its one of the best horror stories that I had ever read.  I've been wanting to reread this book for a long time, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  I have watched the movie multiple times, but the movie doesn't have as much as the book does. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. I have to admit this is the only book from this s

Tips on Reading Classics

I have so much trouble reading and processing classics, because of how dense they are and how they are written.  I was searching on Youtube/Booktube and I came across this video.  If you have the same problem check out the video, because it gives great tips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agl6OzlFa9Y

#TomeTopple

I am participating in #tometopple which is a readathon that lasts two weeks and is basically reading books that are over 500 pages.  It starts November 18th and ends December 1st @ 11:59  PM.  I don't even have to finish the book(s) its just challenging yourself and having fun reading much longer books.  There are challenges, but I'm not going to worry about those, though I am meeting at least one of the challenges with reading two books from series.  I'm kind of cheating with one of them, because I started that one last month.  Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon, the second book in The Outlander series.  My other pick is Game of Thrones by G.R.R. Martin, because I had been wanting to reread the first 2 books, and hopefully absorb it  better.  This is found on Goodreads, so if you are interested sign up for Goodreads and join the group. https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/201929-tome-topple-readathon

Characters I Used to Love, but Don't Anymore

Hey everyone,   This is my first Top 5 Wednesday.  T5W is something on Goodreads, group where you make a list of 5 things book related that's based on a topic given.  I hope I gave a good explanation. This weeks topic is top 5 characters you used to love, but no longer love them, hence the title.  Disclaimer, these are just my opinions. I don't hate any of these characters, just no longer like them as much. 1. Edward Cullen from Twilight.  When I read Twilight as a teenager I was team Edward all the way, and Jacob just seemed too immature to me. I was also a huge vampire fan.  I have since lost interest in vampire plots, because to me they are so boring. That has partly helped me look more critically at Twilight and Edward. I am beginning to see Edward was too controlling and a bit stalkerish, plus no one should be that dependent on guy.  Bella's dependency isn't Edward's fault, but it doesn't make me like him.  2. Jace from Mortal Instruments.  Just like Edward

Beginnings of Sarah J. Maas Collection

Here is my copy of the first two books in Throne of Glass; Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight.  I hope to get the third one, Heir of Fire for Christmas.  I'm loving the series so far.  Team Chaol!!!  But I like Dorian too, just not as Celaena's lover, but her good friend. I got both of these from BooksaMillion. Add caption I got this one at Barnes & Noble, but I will wait to finish it before I buy or ask for Court of Mist and Fury.  I'm hoping by then it will be in paperback, which I prefer since I take books with me wherever I go.

My Reading Life as of Right Now

--I just finished Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight, and I have been thinking about reading them again before I get  Heir of Fire.  Its on my Christmas list. --I joined Goodreads!!! --Currently reading Dragonfly in Amber the second book in the Outlander series.  That book is so long, and will probably take me a few months, unless I take a break like I usually do when I read books that length. --I'm so frustrated, because there are so many series I want to check out, but I'll have to part with some of my books that I currently have.  I have a few I am willing to part with, but my mom wants me to purge, plus I have limited shelf space.
