Two Buffy Characters that Get a Lot of Dislike, But I Like

Dawn Summers:  She is Buffy's sister, who is introduced in season 5 and she turns out to be the "key" to open up into a demon dimension.  I know Dawn is seen as "annoying" and "whiny", but she is, to quote Spike, a hormonal time bomb that a demon God wants to bleed to death to open up the door to her home dimension.   She is also the younger sister to the slayer, seen as just a kid that is seen as someone they need to baby-sit, and is desperate to prove herself.  Next to Willow, she's the character I can relate the most too.  I have an older sister just like Dawn and can relate to wanting to be taken seriously. Riley Finn: He is Buffy's boyfriend in season 4 and half-way through 5.  Riley gets a lot of hate, especially after his actions in season 5.  I agree it was a dumb choice, but cannot help his insecurities or at least he won't get over it overnight.  I feel like it was partly Buffy's fault too, the problems they had.  Riley was

Top 5 Favorite Creatures in Fantasy & Science Fiction

Creatures Nighteyes the wolf from Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb.  I know he's not technically not a creature but a regular animal.  I don't care I just love Nighteyes and want him for a pet. Derrick, the Pixie from The Falconer by Elizabeth May.  Derrick is the Pixie that Aileana came across in her room.  He'll work for honey is very loyal to Aileana.  He is snarky, funny, and brave.  He also enjoys patching up your clothes and cleaning, so he's very useful. Fenstra, the Magnificat from Nevermore: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend.  A giant talking cat, what more could you want?!  She's loyal, sassy, and magical. The three main dragons in The Dragon Riders Chronicles by Nicole Conway.  They're like giant dogs, but fierce The creatures conjured in The Dream Thieves by Maggie Steifvater.  This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but creatures that Ronan conjures up are cool.  They're similar to our animals, but a bit creepier and sur

AYAOTD The Tale of the Bookish Babysitter!

A Review of the Tale of the Bookish Babysitter The plot of this episode is something that every book lover would dream about experiencing.  Well, maybe not the scary stuff the protagonist experiences.  In fact, the scary aspects are more out of fantasy novel rather than horror.  Summary:  Our protagonist Ricky Winter is a twelve-year-old boy, who would rather watch television and eat junk food, then take the time to open a book, because books have too many words.  When his mom has to work late, she hires a highly recommended babysitter, Belinda, to watch him, though he’s twelve and apparently is mature enough not to need one.  eye roll .   Belinda’s technique for winning over the kid’s hearts is introducing them to the magic of books.  Ricky is resistance to her, but Belinda takes his access to the television and she makes a deal with him.  He has to read for 5 minutes and then she’ll leave him alone. As he reads each book, he begins to hear strange sounds.  Ricky chooses to give

2019 Reading Resolutions

Reading Resolutions I will like to read more Stephen King, so what I am planning is picking King books to read every two or more months, and pairing it with another book that is similar. I am plunging and going for it challenging myself to read 100 books for my Goodreads goal. I want to continue reading other genres that I haven't explored thoroughly.  I read a lot of fantasy, but it's not the only genre that I enjoy. I want to prioritize reading over being on the internet and watching television. I want to read more adult books, though I still love Young Adult, and  I want to read bigger books 500+. There are also books that I have borrowed from family members and books my mom bought for me that I feel guilty for having not read yet, that I want to get to this year.
