Creepy Clown episode

Reviewing Laughing in the Dark Narrator: Betty-Ann      Summary: Josh, a 13-year-old punk, and his friend Weegie (Yes, that’s his name.), along with Weegie’s younger sister Kathy are at Playland amusement park, the Canadian equivalent to King’s Dominion or Six Flaggs, when they come across the haunted spook house, “Laughing in the Dark”. Josh thinks it’s silly to be scared of the spook house, because it’s supposed to be spooky, though even he is unnerved by the carnival barker, Dr. Vink’s evil twin brother. Weegie does some research and finds out that back in the twenties, one of the Playland’s clown’s Zeebo decided he “needed” the company payroll more than the others. The dumbass gets caught and chased into the spook house. Zeebo liked cigars and place caught on fire taking the clown with it. Weegie gets fed up with Josh talking about how he wouldn’t be scared, so he dares Josh to go into the spook house.  Josh says not only will he go ...

Week 08/05

Currently Reading Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson Page 513 RoseBlood by A.G. Howard Page 59 HP: and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling Page 43 I was going to participate fully in Booktubeathon, but I think I will only be able to read some of the books, and the book I picked for the coin toss I'm not in the mood for.  I'm so close to finishing Mistborn, so that book will take priority. I think I'm going to try to finish Gotham Sirens Vol. I.

Reading Update

I think I need to set a rule/goal for myself where I read 5 books that I already own, and then maybe buy more after I read those.  I also need to set aside 1 or 2 books to donate. Current Reads:  I'm trying to get The Raven King finished by Friday, because that's when my friend Terri comes to stay for the week and then we will go to Supercon for the weekend.  I'm on chapter 44, so that's  page 307/438.  Still reading Mistborn as well, but my focus is The Raven King, but since I only have my lunch bag and no locker I can't take it to work.

Tome Topple Wrap-Up

I only finished one book for Tome Topple, but that is no surprise.  I'm hoping that eventually, it will get easier to read tomes and finish them quicker.  Not that I want to rush my reading, but I want to be able to read bigger books and not take months or years to read them. Book Finished Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier I did give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I enjoyed reading about Sorcha's journey and I felt such sympathy for her.  She was a very admirable and brave young woman.  The slow burn is my favorite kind of romance, though I can't stand the "will they, won't they" drama in contemporary shows, but I don't mind it in fantasy.  I'm glad it didn't come until the second half of the novel, though.  I loved the relationship between Sorcha and her brothers, but sometimes it aggravated me that they treated her like a child.  I think she should have said something to get them to back off.    I also appreciated how each brother had an individual...
