Jacksprat Gets Lost in Fiction

Creatures Nighteyes the wolf from Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb.  I know he's not technically not a creature but a regular animal.  I don't care I just love Nighteyes and want him for a pet. Derrick, the Pixie from The Falconer by Elizabeth May.  Derrick is the Pixie that Aileana came across in her room.  He'll work for honey is very loyal to Aileana.  He is snarky, funny, and brave.  He also enjoys patching up your clothes and cleaning, so he's very useful. Fenstra, the Magnificat from Nevermore: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend.  A giant talking cat, what more could you want?!  She's loyal, sassy, and magical. A Review of the Tale of the Bookish Babysitter The plot of this episode is something that every book lover would dream about experiencing.  Well, maybe not the scary stuff the protagonist experiences.  In fact, the scary aspects are more out of fantasy novel rather than horror.  Summary:  Our protagonist Ricky Winter is a twelve-year-old boy, who would rather watch television and eat junk food, then take the time to open a book, because books have too many words.  When his mom has to work late, she hires a highly recommended babysitter, Belinda, to watch him, though he’s twelve and apparently is mature enough not to need one.  eye roll .   Belinda’s technique for winning over the kid’s hearts is introducing them to the magic of books.  Ricky is resistance to her, but Belinda takes his access to the television and she makes a deal with him.  He has to read for 5 minutes and then she’ll leave him alo...

 Reading Resolutions I will like to read more Stephen King, so what I am planning is picking King books to read every two or more months, and pairing it with another book that is similar. I am plunging and going for it challenging myself to read 100 books for my Goodreads goal. I want to continue reading other genres that I haven't explored thoroughly.  I read a lot of fantasy, but it's not the only genre that I enjoy. I want to prioritize reading over being on the internet and watching television. I want to read more adult books, though I still love Young Adult, and  I want to read bigger books 500+. There are also books that I have borrowed from family members and books my mom bought for me that I feel guilty for having not read yet, that I want to get to this year.

Reviewing Laughing in the Dark Narrator: Betty-Ann      Summary: Josh, a 13-year-old punk, and his friend Weegie (Yes, that’s his name.), along with Weegie’s younger sister Kathy are at Playland amusement park, the Canadian equivalent to King’s Dominion or Six Flaggs, when they come across the haunted spook house, “Laughing in the Dark”. Josh thinks it’s silly to be scared of the spook house, because it’s supposed to be spooky, though even he is unnerved by the carnival barker, Dr. Vink’s evil twin brother.
